Torsten Stauch

Technical Director

Torsten oversees the technical aspects of pencils2pixels. He started his career in the engineering industry and after moving into IT he specialised in content management systems. He implements the best of new technology into a practical and cost effective product for schools and businesses. With a strong focus on usability, he likes to see technology fade into the background so that users can focus on the job, not the tools.

Torsten trained as an Engineer in Cape Town, South Africa. He has worked for a number of leading IT consultancies in London and developed large enterprise-level web applications. He co-directs a successful software company in London specialising in online marketing products.

Pencils2pixels brings exciting challenges with the need is for cutting-edge products made accessible in a very non-technical environment. Torsten is constantly looking for better ways to help teachers, parents and pupils communicate and express themselves online.

Rob Sturgess

Training and Project Manager

Rob has 15 years experience in the IT industry. After gaining a degree in Physics from Bristol University, he moved into the IT industry developing computer systems for the banking and financial industry, working for City firms such as the London Stock Exchange, DKB, Hiscox Insurance Underwriters and Mercury Asset Management. With the rise of the internet Rob moved into the educational side of the new media industry, training web design skills in London colleges.  As well his advanced technical skills in building web sites to the latest standards he is a people person who enjoys managing and supporting many of our websites.
